In 2013 Yamaha expanded their popular CG series of classical guitars with this electro-acoustic edition, the CGX102. Now you can enjoy the beautiful Yamaha sound acoustic and amplified, making this guitar ideal for recordings at home or in the studio and for live performances. The CGX102 features a solid-spruce top with sides and back of nato. The 19-fret neck is also made of nato and is equipped with a rosewood fretboard. In short, the Yamaha CGX102 has all the ingredients for a full, rich, clear tone.

Yamaha CGX102: System68N electronics

The electronics in the CGX102 are comprised of Yamaha's improved System68N preamplifier and ART pickup. The contact piëzo pickup is located on the inside of the body attached to the top, under the bridge, and it works to ensure that the acoustic sound of the guitar is picked up and amplified better and more accurately. The System68N preamp is equipped with a volume control, 3-band EQ and an AMF slider that lets you adjust the range of the mid-frequencies. Of course, there is also a digital chromatic tuner built in.
