Electro-Voice N/D 267 AS

The Electro Voice N/D 267AS is technically exactly the same as the N/D 267A by Electro Voice, with only one important different: an on/off switch. It's a handheld microphone for live use, and is equipped with a dynamic element, which features a neodymium magnet for quicker response. This means that you get more gain before feedback, and as a result, the microphone's signal is more stable.

Vocally-Optimized Bass

This Electro voice N/D 267AS has a handsome bit of technology on board. It's called VOB, or Vocally-Optimized Bass, and it ensures that the proximity effect of the microphone is kept in check. Proximity effect is the phenomenon where the sound gets darker as the sound source gets closer to the microphone. VOB technology, however, ensures that resonance in the low frequencies is compressed, whereby the vocals remain clear and detailed. All of this together provides a sound that cuts nicely through the mix and that can always be localised in the total sound.  

This microphone is also available without an on/off button.
