The TG-D50d, just like its bigger brother, the TG-D70d, is equipped with an integrated equaliser. When you switch on the mic to the 'LIN' position, it will produce a linear, natural sound without any audio colouring or enhancements of any kind. When amplifying or recording a bass drum, for example, the EQ function ensures an optimum signal, saving you time and hassle.

Thanks to the cardioid polar pattern in this mic, the transducer reproduces that familiar, powerful Beyerdynamic sound with a healthy dose of gain before experiencing any feedback. Beyerdynamic has incorporated their 'Sound Channelling Technology' into this type of microphone, which accounts for that powerful sound. They've also included special 'sound holes' in the diaphragm to create a frequency-independent pickup pattern.
