Allmänt
While the RANE DJ Seventy is definitely built to win battles, this beefy two-channel mixer packs way more than just muscle since it comes fully trained and complete with its own special move: full Serato support. Battle-ready, Serato DJ ready, and all the classic RANE DJ DNA to please any turntablist; this mixer is not just innovative and packed with fresh features, but is the dependable, durable team-mate that will never let you down in the ring and above all, refuses to compromise.
The Seventy: MAG FOUR!
The heart of every battle-mixer is, of course, built of faders. Here, the audio-based circulation of the RANE DJ Seventy is driven by MAG FOUR faders. Using patented tech, these are the lightest feeling faders ever made, while the tension of the cross-fader (the most important weapon in your arsenal) can be adjusted to taste. Besides the faders, the Seventy comes with six 'radio-style' FX buttons to control the post fader 'Flex FX' as well as the software effects provided by Serato DJ. Sixteen Akai Professional performance pads are also a welcome addition, offering fast access to hot cue, loops, samples, roll, transport and Serato Pitch 'n Time.
Connectivity
Nothing is left to chance with the RANE DJ Seventy. Two DJs can use the mixer at the same time since it comes fitted with a double USB port and the set-up has been thoughtfully designed for seamless transition from DJ to DJ. Besides the standard set of inputs like the switchable phono/line, switchable line/microphone combi port (with echo), and balanced XLR outputs, the Seventy comes equipped with a battle-configured Session-input and Session-output.
Serato Scratch Bank Support
As of right now, Serato Scratch Bank is fully supported by the RANE DJ Seventy! To make sure everything runs as it should, you will need to make sure that your copy of Serato Pro DJ Pro has been updated to version 2.4.3, and the firmware of your mixer also needs to be upgraded to version 1.6. Then, Serato Scratch Bank grants you the power to load in up to 32 different samples or full tracks that can be triggered for scratching or mixing.
