This DJ mixer is a pretty special device, to put it simply. At first glance, it looks like a regular 3-channel mixer with all the standard knobs, faders and buttons. Each channel has its own 3-band EQ, gain knob and oversized cue button. There's a crossfader between channels two and three and a sizeable VU meter under the master as well as separate master and booth volume controls. It's also fitted with a separate 2-band EQ for a microphone and a simple switch to turn the mic on and off. So, what's so special about this mixer?
Bluetooth
So far, the 10 MXR BT seems like a standard mixer, but we bet you're dying to know what the antenna is for. It's for the built-in Bluetooth module! Using this wireless connection, you can connect a set of speakers or a PA without the need for any cables. (If you prefer to use cables, however, you can.) You'll never have to worry about tripping over cables on stage again, as they simply won't be there to trip over.
Successor?
Judging by the name of this mixer, you'd think this was an improved version of the already successful 10 MXR by American Audio. This is partially the case. The brand took the basic principle of this model, namely the fact that it was a simple mixer, suitable for a wide variety of applications. The 10 MXR had only two channels, instead of three on the 10 MXR BT, and the MIDI functionality was replaced by the Bluetooth module.
