Numark NVII DJ-controller

Here at Bax, we've seen a lot of innovative gear, but we've never seen a DJ controller that adapts itself to your own personal style. Not until Numark released the NVII, that is, a DJ controller with two 4.3” full-colour displays. This successor to the NV was made especially for Serato DJ (included) and features 5-inch jog wheels, and EQ, effect and filter controls that are all touch-capacitive. That means they react to your touch, even when your fingers are hovering just above them! This enables the platters to adapt themselves to your own style—an internal memory records how fast or how slow, how subtle or how aggressive you use them, improving your performance every time!

Numark NVII: Navigate like a true captain

In the middle of a live performance, choosing the wrong track or making a mistake is sometimes inevitable. With the NVII, however, that's unlikely to happen as easily. The large browse control helps you navigate through your music library intuitively which can be sorted into 5 different categories—album, artist, song, BPM, and key. If you need to, you can quickly switch to another deck simply by pressing the Deck button. Other controls located around the displays allow you to blend the selected track into your mix with ease. Then, all you need to do is press the Browse button and your track will be cued up and ready to go!

Improved standard

At first glance, there doesn't seem to be anything new about the Numark NVII, which will only benefit your mixing, especially if you're used to working with the NV. It features 16 trigger pads that can be colour-coded and used when applying cues, rolls, loops, samples, and slices. To ensure you're always right smack on the beat, you can take advantage of the sync button. With an integrated BPM meter and the grid on your display, you can also adjust this manually. With a maximum of three selectable effects per channel, an EQ, and a low and a high-pass filter, you've got everything you need at your fingertips. To top it all off, the NVII even has a built-in Bleep button so you can cover up obscene lyrics on the fly.
