Specifically designed to retain the sonic character of an American amplifier and then push things that little bit further, the Abasi Concepts Pathos distortion pedal is a modern take on old-school valve sound. Via the central mini-switch, the voicing can be flipped between Smooth to round off the sharper edges, or Edge to sharpen them up even more. Apply your preferred level of drive via the Gain pot to give your guitar sound a lightly broken up edge or kick your valve amp lightly in the rear-end for some subtle overdrive.

The Bass, Mid and Treble control pots don't just support endless variation but offer a set of tools for hammering an inspiring, custom sound into shape. The true-bypass, soft-touch relay footswitch, meanwhile, guarantees squeaky clean tone the moment the effect is kicked off and, since this pedal has not only been designed and built in the USA but is the result of a close collaboration between Tosin Abasi and seasoned pedal-guru Brian Wampler, you're assured of high efficiency as well as high-grade sound. To finish, this model features top-mounted connection ports to save some precious pedalboard space.
