Maxon has improved its classic OD808 pedal, resulting in the OD808X. Compared to its predecessor, it has undergone a number of important changes. The OD808X has a broader frequency response, the capability to retain a clear tone even at high volume levels, and a greater sensitivity to the definition in your playing. Of course, it also delivers the familiar overdrive tone that the original OD808 is known for.

Countless guitarists love the 808 sound. Stevie Ray Vaughan actually used two of these pedals back to back in his effects chain for an even broader sound.
