The Ableton Live 9 Standard Student (download) is actually exactly the same as the regular Standard version. It has the same samples, effects and instruments, and you organise the blogs of MIDI and audio data in the same way in the same grid. The only difference is the smaller price you pay to create your professional compositions in the music production software that has been used by the likes of Armin van Buuren, Daft Punk, Skrillex and many more!
Features of the Ableton Live 9 Standard
The Standard version of Ableton Live comes with 11 GB of samples from a wide variety of genres, and you can easily browse the 1,100 sounds in the new music browser. No matter what kind of music you want to make, you'll be able to do it right in Ableton! There are also plenty of virtual effects, such as a compressor or a filter, for high-quality finishing touches. Parameters can be adjusted by drawing curves with your mouse or via your Ableton controller - the latter of which is strongly recommended for the full Ableton experience.

Thanks to new features such as the audio-to-MIDI function, users with very little music knowledge can produce high-quality compositions. The function actually works to extract musical information from the audio, such as the pitch from vocals. In other words, if you can sing, then you can compose with Ableton! This software has gained so much popularity in the Electro genre because it’s quite similar to the structure of the genre. That doesn’t mean that you can’t create mainstream music with this package, it just requires a different method of thinking and planning.
