Digital Performer 9: workflow

MOTU knows that if you're working on complex multitrack projects, a quick workflow is of the essence. To that end, they have made Digital Performer 9 run as smoothly as possible. The inclusion of Automation Lanes has improved the 64-bit software's user-friendliness considerably. Would you like to adjust the volume or reverb depth mid-track? You can now do so by simply drawing a line. Changes are applied live and the files themselves remain unaltered, so making edits is always possible.

Spectral Display and other practical features

Another remarkable new feature in version 9 is the Spectrograms display, which allows you to view the spectral content of each audio track. With a single glance, you'll know where that annoying hum is coming from! However, it's also the little things that set Digital Performer apart from other DAWs. MOTU DP9 now features MIDI Mute Notes, which means it's possible to mute MIDI notes without adjusting the volume or removing them. Project Notes, another simple yet incredibly useful function, allows you to keep notes for your projects, so you can create practical reminders for yourself.
