The sheer presence of the sound of the Paiste 2002 18-inch crash is enough to evoke an intense '70s classic-rock themed flashback. Full and brilliant, this cymbal is capable of matching up to blues, hard rock, metal, funk, R&B, alternative, indie, and any other style you'd care to dream up. The immense versatility of this classic crash lies in an excellent balance and comfortable response that's best combined with a full pack of other professional-grade 2002-Series cymbals.
Paiste's 2002 cymbals
Entire generations of rock drummers have sat behind the potency of Paiste 2002-Series cymbals. In 1971, these now renowned cymbals were first introduced and from the very start, have been made using B8 bronze - or more specifically - CuSn8 Bronze. The 2002 was the first pro-series to use an alloy of such quality and ever since, B8 bronze has also been affectionately referred to as 2002 Bronze. Each cymbal shapes has that classic rock character, but due to the balance of their shimmering, transparent, warm and above all, powerful sound, they can be used to play pretty much any style.
