As their shells have no holes drilled into them, the Floatune series congas offer an improved sound, ensuring that the rich natural sound of the wood is not lost.

The sound of this 13-inch conga is deep and rich, thanks to the two-ply rubberwood shell. Additionally, Meinl chose to use a buffalo hide drumhead, which nicely emphasises the lower tones. Not only does this conga look good, it looks fantastic as well, as all hardware - such as the rounded SSR rims - is chrome-plated. Furthermore, the wooded shell features a glossy transparent lacquer for a natural result.
