Almond Birch is a very hard wood that you don't come across very often in musical instruments. In fact - apart from some drum kits and guitars, you hardly ever see it, with the exception of some Meinl cajons including this SC100AB Snarecraft cajon. The body of this cajon is made of birch wood and adds warmth and depth to the sound. The Almond Birch pickguard provides attack, definition and a wide dynamic range. On the inside, two metal strings are attached against the pickguard. These strings provide the typical flamenco sound that many people look for in a cajon. The rounded corners provide more comfort while playing. Dimensions: 50 x 30 x 30 cm.
