The CA12 by Meinl is an aluminium snare drum that is 12 inches in diameter and 4.5 inches deep, that has a classic, bright and sharp noise. Furthermore, it is very well suited for playing rimshots and it lives up to the high standards that drummers have come to expect from Meinl.

Professional snare and drumhead systems

This snare drum is equipped with a professional snare straining mechanism. The steel snare wires run over the entire diameter of the bottom head, and the special throw-off ensures that it is very easy to disengage them from the resonant head. The synthetic batter head is also easy to replace, and they are tuned with tension rods with countersunk bolt heads. To make your life a little easier when you decide to tune the drum, after replacing a drumhead for instance, Meinl decided to included a drum key.
