If you have any knowledge about studio microphones, you´ll instantly recognise the Rode NTR for a special model. It is a carefully designed ribbon microphone! Most ribbon microphones are not clear and detailed enough for professionals. The NTR is different, however, as it accurately picks up your vocals and provides excellent reproductions of higher frequencies, so that you can register sources that would usually require a more sensitive microphone capsule.
NTR: top-quality studio microphone
Every part of the NTR is designed and made in Rode's own factory, in Sydney, Australia, so that top quality can be guaranteed! This ribbon microphone with matte black finish can also be used in professional recording studios and concert halls. Of course, the home studio is also a suitable spot for the NTR. Connect it to a mixer, preamp or interface that provides 48 volts of phantom power and you can get started! Thanks to the active electronics, the powerful gain that is needed for many other ribbons isn't required.
Super-thin ribbon
The NTR features one of the thinnest ribbon elements in the world - only 1.8 microns thick. It was selected to allow for the highest possible sensitivity over the entire frequency response. Furthermore, this isn't a handmade element, it has been carved out via laser technology. This way, ragged edges are prevented, resulting in a longer life span. The mic's internal shockmount is so good, that you needn't use an external one.
