Tube-driven sound has never looked so easy! The Two Notes Audio Engineering Torpedo Captor X16 allows you to fully open up your tube-amp wherever you are and without freaking out the neighbours. Let's face it, valve amplifiers sound best when the volume is pushed and the tubes are hot, but being loud isn't always practical, and by lowering your volume, you're often forced to compromise on your sound. Add this 'reactive load box' to the rig and using the built-in attenuator, you could even get comfortable hot-tube sound through a set of headphones! This doesn't just accommodate more private practice and recording sessions but it actually aids the shaping of your sound, since this little box is also home to an awesome selection of virtual microphones and speaker cabinets. This means you can couple your amp up to an impulse response (IR) of one or more microphones in combination with your virtual cabinet of choice and rehearse or record with fully-formed sound.

The Captor X16 provides two XLR outputs for a stereo setup which really gets interesting when you take it to the stage. Another practical feature is the dry/wet routing which sends a separate dry and wet signal to, say an audio interface, so you can do stuff like wet up the dry signal with other IRs later.
