Plant the stompbox-style Tone King Ironman II Mini attenuator on your board and easily push the volume of an 8 Ohm, 30 Watt valve amplifier down to a more sociable, home-rehearsal-friendly level. This neat, pedal-style unit can be placed between your amplifier head and speaker cabinet and retains all of the frequencies and nuance of your guitar sound - affecting nothing but the volume level - all courtesy of reactive load technology that fully maintains the relationship between your amp and cab. This solid, high-end attenuator also features a line-output so your direct sound can be sent out to a stage block, extra amplifiers, IR loaders or even an external audio interface, accommodating studio setups as well as live and rehearsal rigs.
The Tone King Ironman II Mini Attenuator: Big Guitar Sound, Manageable Volume
With the Ironman II forming part of the rig, you can gain big, full-flavour sound at a much lower volume without making any compromise on tone. To give lead work a little boost, simply hit the Solo footswitch to apply a 3 or 6 decibel thrust and, while this pedal can be powered with two AA batteries, by hooking up a 9 Volt power supply, the LED indicator will light up when the Solo boost is engaged. To really polish off the sound, the higher-frequencies can also be quickly adjusted via the three-way Presence switch to match the tone to the room you're playing in to compensate for a too-bright sounding amp.
