Denon Professional's DN-408X is a compact analogue mixer that can accommodate, for instance, four microphones and two media players. Of course you can also opt to plug in three microphones, a guitar via a DI box, a keyboard and a CD player. Five DNA preamplifiers ensure that the signals from your mics are reproduced in great detail with plenty of headroom, reducing the chance of distortion. The first two inputs are equipped with compressors that can suppress volume peaks, resulting in a pleasant, balanced sound.

DN-408X: remarkable features

A number of interesting features make the DN-408X really worth your while. It is equipped with a 9-band graphic equalizer, for instance, which allows you to accurate adjust the timbre of your master mix. That way, your output can be adjusted to suit the acoustics of the room. Below the equalizer you'll find an FX section with a staggering 100 effects. EQ settings - trebles, mids and bass - can be adjusted for each separate channel, and you also have two aux knobs at your disposal, which allows you to adjust the sound level of the signals that are transmitted to your monitor speakers.

Inputs and outputs

Five XLR microphone inputs - the last of which can also be used as a stereo channel by means of two jack connectors - are the heart of the DN-408X. The sixth channel doubles as a stereo input, and other audio input can be transmitted via the RCA inputs or the USB input. On top of the mixer you'll find a second USB port that's able to power a USB light, or a similar device. Your mixed output, finally, is transmitted by means of balanced XLR or 6.3mm jack outputs.
