Great strings. We use the 12-53 gauge on one of our guitars, and the heavier 13-56 gauge on a couple of others to get a chunky bluegrass sound. In general, Elixirs bed in quickly and last well. They die quite suddenly compared to other strings, but this isn't really an issue in our experience. The Polyweb option minimises squeaks a bit more but we prefer the tone and feel of the Nanoweb option. We also usually go for the 80/20 option as we find Elixir's phosphor bronze strings have a slightly harsher sound. These last few points are very subjective but that's our opinion. Hope this is helpful to someone out there :)
