If you want an extra full sound but don't have the room for large subwoofers, then this Sub 28D could very well be just the thing for you! This compact active subwoofer has two 8-inch woofers on board, which work to amplify a 800-watt amp module, giving the subwoofer that extra bit of bass for your music. The Sub 28D works perfectly in combination with the compact satellite speakers from the K or L series by dB Technologies.

Characteristics of the Sub 28D subwoofer

The Sub 28D subwoofer features a built-in 800-watt amplification module, which offers more than enough power for the two 8-inch woofers. Thanks to a clever, space-efficient construction, this device has been given optimal performance in a compact form. The Sub 28D can reach a sound pressure of up to 125 dB SPL, which is quite unusual for a subwoofer from its class. Additionally, it can also reach high frequencies of up to 45 Hz, which is great for a bit of support for those bass tones.

Construction and finish

The housing features integrated hand grips on the sides for ease of transport, and the rest of the construction is fashioned from reinforced multiplex with an HET coating to keep the device lightweight. Furthermore, the subwoofer is equipped with a pole mount for adding an additional satellite speaker. Finally, the Sub 28D also has a built-in limiter, a phase switch and a 24 dB/octave crossover on board. That's a lot of stuff for such a small cabinet!
