Meet the CPX-12A: a powerful, versatile, robust active 12-inch speaker. If you're looking for good, full audio that you can use just about anywhere, then you're in the right place! Use it on a stand, on the ground, hang it from a truss (or in a bus?) or even use it as side-fill or as a floor monitor. This series was designed with the mobile user in mind, and as such, this speaker features a rugged composite housing and robust steel grille for optimal protection against shocks and scratches.

CPX-12A: integrated mixer

On the back of the American Audio CPX-12A you'll find a small integrated mixer. This feature offers you the ability to connect a microphone, along with another audio source. Both lines have their own volume control, and you also have the power to adjust the master volume and EQ. As you can imagine, these features make the speaker perfect for use in places such as churches and auditoriums. Should you wish to add a second speaker to the mix, you can easily connect it with the Thru output.

Powerful sound

Besides the robust housing and the many convenient functions, the American Audio CPX-12A produces excellent sound. It is bi-amplified and has an active crossover, along with a class D amplifier that can produce up to 500 W of power, which is more than enough to get a great sound from the tweeter and 12-inch woofer (which are powered individually). The result is a smooth, detailed, full sound.
