We have to go all the way back to 2015 for the first rumours surrounding the Boutique series. And now, after eleven years and countless sales, the Japanese brand is adding two new models to this collection once again: the JP-08 and a wavetable synthesizer, the n/vision. ![]() Boutique: successful reissues straight from the creatorName any of them: the Juno, the Jupiter, the JX, the drum machines, and even the D-50 and the JD-800. If it was historically significant for the manufacturer, there’s likely been a Roland Boutique version of it. At its core, it’s a desktop module that you can dock into a small, separately available keyboard: the K-25m. This gives you the choice to use it as a standalone module in your studio (driven by your own full-size MIDI keyboard) or to take it on the road with two octaves of mini-keys ready to go. With the new JP-08 and n/vision, there is a subtle difference: the K-25m keyboard is included. And it isn't just the standard K-25m keyboard either, but a custom version tailored specifically for these models. With the JP-08, you get a keyboard featuring metal side panels, while the white n/vision comes with a matching white frame. Naturally, the modules can still be detached to be controlled via a larger keyboard in your studio. The Jupiter needs no introduction: it's one of the most celebrated analogue synths of the 1980s. A genuine delight to listen to, and just as stunning to look at. While aesthetics are always subjective, let's be honest: looks certainly matter. The n/vision, on the other hand, is a wavetable synthesizer rather than a recreation of a vintage Roland synth. And by 'wavetable', we don't mean those sample soundcards that wrongfully hijacked the term back in the 90s. We're talking about the iconic synthesis found in those famous blue vintage units. Sound designers will easily be able to spend hours on end exploring the n/vision without ever running out of possibilities! We have secured extensive stock for both of these synthesizers, as Father Christmas is bound to have a busy time ahead. The synth enthusiast in the family certainly has something new for their wish list! Be sure to order yours soon or drop a subtle hint to your loved ones. Naturally, both synthesizers are available for pre-order right now. Relaterade märkenrelaterade produkter |
