MXR Present Dookie Drive, Billy Gibbons Fuzz + Dunlop Jerry Cantrell Wah
MXR recently collaborated with some well-known artists to design some new pedals. In the case of the DD25 Dookie Drive that was Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day. For the BFG07 Siete Santos Octavio Fuzz they enlisted the help of Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top. Not to be outdone, Dunlop worked with Jerry Cantrell from Alice In Chains to create the JC95B Cry Baby Wah.
Punk or blues?
MXR's DD25 Dookie Drive will give you the same legendary punk sound heard on Green Day's breakthrough album Dookie. If a thick, dirty blues tone is more your style, then the BFG07 Siete Santos Octavio Fuzz may be the pedal for you. It's an octave fuzz based on Jimi Hendrix' Purple Haze and has a 7-band EQ on board!
Wah and more...
Dunlop's JC95B Jerry Cantrell Cry Baby is a limited edition version of the JC95. It has a distressed black finish and a design based on Jerry's own tribal-style orca tattoo. Dunlop have also introduced a number of handy tools to keep your instrument in tip-top shape: DGT03, DGT04 en DGT05.
