This Fender Blacktop Stratocaster is equipped with two high-gain humbucker pickups and ready for some proper guitaring. Fender's Blacktop series has been especially designed to provide modern guitarists with a big, fat sound. This black electric guitar produces a wide range of deep, rich, aggressive sounds that are excellently suited for the more intense types of music. It is the ideal Stratocaster for screaming shred solos and fast staccato metal riffs.

Features of the Blacktop Stratocaster HH

Like most Strats, the Blacktop Stratocaster HH features an alder body. Alder is a wood type that is light of weight and that produces a balanced tone with tight basses and strong mids. This guitar's maple neck features a rosewood fretboard with 22 medium jumbo frets and a modern 9.5-inch radius for more playing comfort and better bends. You can't go wrong with black, and that is why this Blacktop Strat (apart from some chrome touches) is covered in it. To add a hot rod feel, the standard volume and tone knobs have been replaced with three large Fender guitar amp-type knobs.

Double humbuckers with a versatile pickup switch

Usually, dual-humbucker guitars provide three different sounds: that of the bridge pickup, the neck pickup and a combination of these two. However, the Blacktop Stratocaster HH produces no fewer than five different sounds! In addition to the three standard sounds, there's the possibility to use only the inner coils of both pickups, providing a sound like that of a mid position on a three-single-coil Strat: nice and tight, clear and clean. The fifth position engages only one coil of the neck pickup and provides the characteristic single-coil sound of a traditional SSS pickup configuration Stratocaster neck pickup.
