Fender Vintera: Vintage Style for the Modern Era
Fender's new Vintera series pays homage to some of the most iconic Fender models from the '50s, '60s and '70s. They all have authentic vintage features and offer all of the benefits of owning a modern instrument.
Vintera: Vintage Style for the Modern Era
The Vintera series is made in Ensenada, Mexico which means Fender can offer these electric guitars and basses at a better price than similar models in the American Original series. Vintera succeeds the Classic series that also included the Classic Player, Road Worn and Baja models. The most iconic design elements from the '50s, '60s and '70s have been included in these new guitars. Depending on what you choose, you'll get the look, sound and feel that model had in that decade. There are also a few 'Modified' versions that have upgraded parts and more powerful pickups. In all, there are 21 different models to choose from with a total of 55 when all of the different colours are taken into account too. Never before has there been such a choice of authentic Fender models with such high specifications available for such a price!
Specially-designed pickups by Tim Shaw
Pickup guru Tim Shaw spent thousands of hours developing the pickups for the new Vintera models. In coming up with the different voicings for each model, he paid close attention to the time period, the position, the magnets, the coils and the windings of each pickup. That's why each model delivers exactly the sound you'd expect it to, per decade. If you're looking for a new guitar that looks, sound and feels authentic, therefore, the Vinteras give you that for a price that's a lot more manageable than it would be for an original model. You also get all of the benefits that come from having a brand new guitar. As you'd expect, these electric guitars and basses are ready to be used on stage and in the studio.
