Rammstein guitarist Paul Landers has been using Tec 21's SansAmp gear for years. It's no surprise, therefore, that they decided to collaborate with him when he let it be known that he was after something slightly different. The result is the Paul Landers Signature Fly Rig PL1. It features two channels, a boost function, a compressor, delay and lots more. All this in a unit that weighs less than 600 grams despite its robust steel housing!

Paul Landers Signature Fly Rig: Fire and Water

The red backlit potentiometers hint at the brutal sounds this unit is capable of producing. The Feuer (fire) channel offers a dirty tone that can be tweaked to perfection using the active 3-band EQ with switchable mids and the drive and level controls. The Wasser (water) channel gives you a clean tone with dual-band active EQ, compression and level controls as well as a bite switch that boosts your presence by adding extra clarity to your trebles. There are delay, vibrato and ambience effects on board too and there's also a dual-mode boost function and built-in tuner. In addition to a standard jack output, you'll also find an XLR out that means you can connect the Signature Fly Rig PL1 directly to equipment like a mixer.
