Epiphone's Pro-1 Spanish Classical guitar is an excellent model for learners to start on. It has nylon strings, a great sound and it's easy to play too. It even comes with a humidifier so that you can keep the wood in the best possible condition.

Wood types and sound

The Pro-1 Spanish Classical has been based on some of the world's best classical guitars and is even constructed using the same types of wood. The top is made of cedar, for instance, which offers a great tone especially when played with the fingers. The mahogany back and sides add warmth to the overall proceedings. The tuning stability and resonance on this model are good too thanks to the GraphTech NuBone string nut and bridge saddle.

Playing comfort

For optimal playing comfort, the Pro-1 features an EZ neck profile that fits the hand naturally which means you'll experience less fatigue allowing you to practise for longer periods of time. The scale length is slightly shorter than you'll find on a standard classical guitar which reduces the string tension making it easier and more comfortable to play too.
