Kiyola roughly translates to 'elegance and beauty' and a single glance at the KF-10's remarkably stunning design should tell you just how befitting that name truly is. For this series, Roland sought out Japanese furniture-builder Karimoku. They constructed the housing according to their own, modern design and by using natural, durable and manually crafted wood, you're able to see beautiful wood grain. Behind the wood sits the advanced technology Roland also equips their LX and HP Series models with. The KF-10-KMB boasts a Mocha Brown finish and comes complete with matching pedals and piano bench.

Excellent piano sounds

The Kiyola's sounds are sculpted by the SuperNATURAL sound engine. With this engine, pressing a key doesn't simply playback an acoustic piano sample but calculates and reconstructs the note and feel of the note in real-time. Its calculations consist of complex formulas that take into consideration string vibration, hammerheads and the sound chamber to produce the sounds of three different grand pianos, an upright piano and an electric piano. These are played using the PHA-50 keyboard with 88 hammer-action keys with wooden sides and synthetic material inside. This combination simulates the feel of an ebony/ivory surface, making it seem like you're playing an acoustic piano.

Bluetooth Controlled

In line with its minimalist design, the Kiyola has been fitted with as few buttons and knobs as possible. Instead, Roland have developed a special iOS/Android application for this digital piano that can be used to alter, adjust and set different sound, playback and effects options. Additionally, the KF-10 can also be used with any other Roland piano app. You can even set up your pedals to function as page turners for your digital sheet music, while any music played or streamed is accurately reproduced by the four part speaker system.
