Allmänt

This cymbal looks dirty - as if it's been lying out in the rain for years on end. Nothing could be further from the truth, however, as this Meinl crash owes its raw, untreated look and visible hammer marks to its extra-dry finish. The B16EDTC is a hand-hammered thin crash from Meinl's Byzance series with a unique sound, and with its trashy looks it'll be the eye catcher of your cymbal line-up.

Meinl Byzance B16EDTC

This cymbal sounds as raw as it looks, demonstrating an extremely dark sound with a short sustain, courtesy of the manufacturing process. Dominant low frequencies with an esoteric character and metallic, course overtones make this a crash unlike any other. It has a relatively soft response and the tone decays quickly, giving the Byzance B16EDTC Extra Dry Thin Crash an overall dry feel. While this cymbal is relatively lightweight, that does not diminish its presence.
