Allmänt

The dB Technologies DVA S2585N is a unique kind of subwoofer, as it is one of the few active subwoofers that can be used as a cardioid subwoofer without special stacking. This is due to the particular structure of the 15 and 18-inch subwoofer.

Cardioid design of the subwoofer

The 18-inch woofer is mounted with a front-firing construction, whereby a large portion of the sound is sent to the front. This is in contrast to most subwoofers, which have a rather half-omnidirectional dispersion. Much of the sound pressure is created behind the subwoofer, which is why a cardioid subwoofer stacking is often used at outdoor events, for example. The 15-inch woofer accounts for this cardioid part. By producing about the same frequencies as the 18-inch woofer, the air vibrations are almost completely extinguished, which means the power is only sent toward your audience.

Digipro-driven S2585 subwoofer

Digipro ensures the right amplification, thanks to the G2 amplification modules. These powerful amp modules offer optimal performance and efficiency, with minimal effort and energy use. The built-in PFC switching power is partly responsible for that.
